  • Cracked open and decanted for an hour. Really tight and astringent at the start, but mellows down with air. Dark purple in the glass, showing slight ruby hues. Lots of concentration and oak spice accompanied by a trademark Vale acid that you don't get in Barossa. I feel that the wine is in-your-face powerful, but doesn't really have much depth and grip beyond that. Passable at the price tag.
