Brick red, nearly opaque with no sediment, screw cap; took about 30m to settle down and open up after cracking and pouring out the first taste; warm red fruit with cherry and dark raspberry over wood aromas, some herbal notes come and go; medium body and reasonably balanced with berry fruit primary flavors, medium finish; stays with dark fruit as it warms to room temp. Good to very good overall.

One of the best Siduri single vineyard Pinot Noirs, from the very fine region of Santa Rita Hills. Significantly better starting with the second day opened. Opaque dark purple, smoothly textured, excellent concentration, delicious red and black cherry fruit. Very long aftertaste that coated the throat and mouth. Very good at 8 years old but will be even better with additional years of aging. Excellent with shrimp, beef, rice, and buttered bread. Some what surprisingly, has enough power and depth to be as good with meats as a Cabernet Sauvignon. A good match with spicy foods but has a limited ability to tone down very hot spices to the point where they are not invasive.

Opaque purple with an inch pour. Cherry and lavender aromas. Well rounded upfront acid and tannin. Rarely have I seen this much structure on a Pinot Noir outside of Burgundy. Great balance of fruit, acid, and tannin. Delicious and refreshing, unusually full bodied, and yet still elegant.

Improved on second day.... Cali, modern style Pinot, with black fruit notes. A bit of toasty oak on the palate. Decant before drinking or hold for further improvement.

Delicious fruit forward Pinot. I love it but others may not like this fruity style. Drink or hold.
