  • Definitely better than the previous bottle in Oct. This bottle was decanted for about 30 minutes which allowed the wine to open. There were red fruit aromas, but none of the initial "funk" of the previous bottle. The medium to plus bodied palate showed a good helping of red and dark red fruits along with some spice and some earth. The acidity was vibrant, but did not outrun the fruit, and there was a touch of tannin on the finish.
A more balanced bottle than our previous, and a bottle that may hold for another year.

  • An interesting blend of 50% Syrah + 50% Grenache. An initial whiff of 'funk' that dissipated after a 20 minute decant, at which point the wine was open and ready. The medium to plus bodied palate showed lots of spice and pepper along with (not quite enough) red and dark red fruits, and some earth. There was a bit more acidity than needed to balance, and a touch of tannins on the finish. It seemed to me that the wine was getting a little "long in the tooth" and should be consumed soon.

  • Decanted about 30 minutes and drank on the patio with olives and cheese. Big aromas of blueberries, blackberries and raspberries from feet away while pouring into the decanter. Medium to full body. Great example of Syrah and Grenache blend. Fruity dark berries and kirsch on the front followed by tannins, spice and black pepper on the finish. Over several hours the wine became less fruity with more leather and tannins.

  • This is a beautiful expression of Syrah and Grenach with medium heavy weight, enormous fruit and integrated/structured tannins. Wine is extremely well made being consistent throughout the palate. Many years left to enjoy, sad there isn't more of it. 94+
