Black cherry and earth blend into a wine that needs food to fully show off all of its qualities. Not tasting quite balanced to me, a little overly acidic when not accompanied by food.

concentrated ripe cherries, with earthiness and tannins that have fully integrated... beautiful with the fruit still big and bold... slight drop in acidity is the only slight disappointment, but there's really no disappointment here... beautiful and evocative / reminiscent of my first summer in Oregon, hot summer with a quick, early fall

Garnet in color with slow legs. Practically no sediment in the bottle with a smell like dust and blackberry. A fruit forward taste of blackberry and leather with a hint of flint. A polished texture with a good finish and low acidity. Should continue to age well for several more years.

10.5 year report, still going strong, primary fruit evolution is under way.

Darker ruby color. Dark cherry, blackberry, currant, baking spice, earth. Nice texture, will continue to evolve.
