This is my last bottle of Landmark :( Great nose of pine. forest floor and cherries. Beautiful entry of tart red cherries with great acidity, smooth texture in the mouth, good weight and power with plenty of black tea and a spicy, beautifully acidic ending which last for about 15-20 seconds. This surely has more time but I just couldn't wait any longer.......

PnP out of the chiller and enjoyed over a pork chop dinner. When chilled there is almost zero nose. Muted flavor profile. As it rises to room temp and opens up, all things change. Not a huge nose, but good scents of cherry, tea, earth and a little spice. Smooth entry, even smoother when warmed up a bit. Excellent cherry/plum notes with more tea and perhaps some clove on the end. Good acidity remains so this can go longer, however I feel as though the fruit may be starting to wain a bit. Not the most explosive Solomon Hills vintage but good nonetheless.

Echo the below. Wine is dark ruby. Rose water, baked blackberry pie, dark cherry, chocolate. Wine is med + body attack through finish. Well balanced acidity, plush and round. Black and red berries, dark chocolate, licorice, baked berry pie, pepper, other red fruits. This is really great, if blind i wouldnt guess pinot, maybe cool climate Syrah, textured and layered, fuller pinot in style, yet refined and balanced.

Let's suffice to say that I am not a pinot guy. I think I've left maybe 1 other review on CT of a pinot. Landmark as a whole may, in fact, change me. I picked this up via their wine club a few years back and have 1 bottle left after tonight. This is some powerful pinot! Layers upon layers of fruit, subtle undertones of strawberry, pomegranate, and licorice with a subtle smokiness. This bottle beats a Sea Smoke I had last month by a mile. Long finish with a mouthwatering acidity. If I can get more of this I'm a buyer. It is in a sweet spot right now. Should be good for at least another 2 years, IMO. I didn't appreciate this wine 2-4 years ago. It is a very nice respite from the overbearing power of the Napa cabs I enjoy almost nightly. Excellent with any pork dish, mushrooms, gravy, etc....

Lavender, cherry, and licorice on the nose. Bright and warm (for a Pinot) on the palate with characteristic cherry notes and some anise. Long, luscious finish. Maybe all the sake and shochu from a recent trip to Japan has dulled my palate but I think this is an underrated wine by other tasters.
