Consistent with previous bottle tasted March, 2015.
Light crimson in color, this wine showed cranberry, pomegranate and cloves on the nose. The mouth feel was lighter than expected with added elements of subtle cherry and forest floor. The finish brought more cranberry as well Asian spices in the somewhat short ending. 13.6% abv.
Purchased for $20US, this wine has some interesting elements to it but it still haven't evolved in the last year and a half and don't think it will, I was expecting more clearly defined structure.

It is interesting that wines #1 and #3 in our line-up were both Mountain fruit grown and were fairly similar, while #2 (Landmark Grand Detour 2009) was obviously valley fruit. (More sun and more and brighter fruit).
It was $40 at the winery and we paid $24 on close-out. Drink now or has time. 650 cases made.

A solid, restrained/ungooped California pinot noir; medium bodied and earthy, with cherry, spice and rose petal notes. Made a Langhe nebbiolo served at the same time seem mono-dimensional.

Dinner at Barbara and Lance's in Princeton (with Brenda, Jen and Tash plus kids and a dog) (Princeton, NJ): This wine drank better than it did a year ago at the winery. Some good red fruit (cherry, raspberry) and quite a bit of forest floor, earth and herbs. We had this after the Indian food from Cross Culture and it harmonized.

Light to medium body, a bit low in acid, a little flabby, good but not complex.

Light, one dimensional, pleasant but not much more. Low acid, medium to short finish. The Russian River Valley offering is superior.
