Mineral and spice with the minerality, shows the leanness of the vintage, kinda seems like it should open up more which I would guess is my palate being a bit whacked out by hard core wa wine tasting the last four days or it is actually just showing the vinetage.
Jadot when they brought this wanted to make it better - reprinting the vineyard, not destemmed, no carbonic, 30 - 45 day maceration.
Aromatic and open and evergreen. So they honor the tradition.

A(ccuracy)=2: Medium deep ruby; dusty, robust Gamay. B(alance) =2: Fruit yielding to acid and soft tannin, losing a bit of vibrancy. C(omplexity)=2: Subdued and restrained. D(epth) = 1 : Pleasant length and finish.

Very burgundian in nature, with funky earth, barnyard, and sheep notes on the nose. Light red fruit on the palate with additional wet earth, mushroom and truffle components. A great QPR at under $20.

This was lovely and got better the next few days after it was opened. Definitely better slightly chilled
