Absolutely delicious! Red fruit, great acidity, a bit of earth. Long finish. Great with salmon. I love martinelli chards and zin, but usually not their Pinots. This was great.

PnP, but better with some air. Color was a medium ruby with a fade to the rim. Touches of floral, cola, and some red fruit on the nose. The medium bodied palate showed the red fruit, earth, cola, lots of spice, and a touch of minerality. The acidity was more than necessary to balance as the fruit was on the light side. Could be a sign of age, or just the profile of this wine. We love Martinelli pinots, just not this one.

Based on some of the low ratings below, I must have lucked onto an amazing bottle! Opened on Sep. 3 in celebration of brother-in-law's 60th birthday, from his cellar. The wine was singing upon opening, with striking red fruits on both the nose and palate. Very long finish too. Would rate this bottle 95-96. Reminded me to buy more Martinelli Pinot Noir! Beat out serious other wines in the line-up: a Carlisle Hayne Zin, Saxum JBV, and Alban Reva.
Really disappointing. At first the nose quite aromatic with sweet fruit and perfume. The palate was all California with some heat. After a couple hours, the funk came out and so did the acidity.

Maybe just me - but love this wine - love the funk and yet clearly a new world pinot - drank 3 bottles now and just purchased 4 more.
