  Golden and amber tints in the glass. Muted nose of browned cane sugar. Dusty, ripe apricot flavors with very minor hints of pistachio and white pepper. med finish. very sweet and moderately high alcohol (16%) with low acidity. This kind of balance (even for this style) was not my cup of tea but then again at the winery they were trying really hard to convince me that a 17% alc. zin with resid. sugar was a "normal" wine; they would not use my mainstream storage/shipping provider either. oh well...
