Wow. Gotta believe this is at its peak right now. Color is pale garnet, some definite browning at the rim, showing its age. Aromas start off with forest floor and potting soil, followed by allspice, potpourri, baked plum, brown sugar. Initial flavor on the front of the palate is black cherry, red plum, followed by vanilla and baking spices in the midpalate, with a finish of dried leaves and tobacco. Medium acid, low tannins, light body.
Really impressive depth and variety of flavor here, possibly one of the best we've had from Element so far (at least at time of drinking). Premier example of a Finger Lakes red with some ageability. Loved it.

Delicate, a translucent pale red, and not overtly engineered. Touch of bourbon, cherries, white figs, Sakura jam, thyme, hint of smoke, new leather. Medium body, medium tannins, good acidity and structure. Not your typical Pinot - still, really wonderful.
