A private dinner (Restaurant Atelier Crenn **, San Francisco, California, USA): Bone dry and very mineral, dusty almost, with an innate 'goût de petrol' that is reminiscent of Australia, tea leaf, good depth, citrus and flowers, hints of peach and passion fruit, ripe acidity, very good length. Does not have the linearity and precision of a great Grosset, but it is in a similar vein.

Lite gold with med-lite viscosity in the glass. Herbaceous aromatics with lychee, pineapple, Fuji apple, stone fruit, honey and almonds. Medium body, complex and balanced with a powerful herbaceous play on the palate. Juicy and round citrus fruit, stone fruit, calcium, flowers, nuts and secondary honey. Med-long finish.
