This wine has come along nicely. Another user here put it perfectly: there may be a second life for this wine some years down the road, but for right now, it is peaking. Everything is developed - from the nose to the palate to the texture, the tannins, the acidity. It has really come together.
The overall impression of this wine is one of manliness and massive weight. For anyone who knows Mo Ayoub, this wine is a perfect expression of his character. Bold and expressive, but in a quiet reserved way. Masculine and assertive, cultured and complex.
The fruit is in the blackberry, bing cherry arena, laced with sweet oak spice, cedar box, cinnamon, allspice, and dried citrus zest. It is broad on the pallet and finishes thick and strong, without toppling over into the boozy category.
Sweet, supple, and hedonistic. Either drink now or give it like 10 years and see what happens in its next incarnation.

Last puppy! And probably the best of my bottles of this wine. Lovely, mature Willamette PN. This may have a second life coming on but its first life is peakng. Super smooth! But with a nice level of deep, earthy fruit. Lovely finish.

Pleasantly surprised how well this is holding up. Garnet in color. Plenty of dark red fruit on the palate. Black cherry and raspberry. Well balanced.

Nice overall but very soft. Does have layers in the mid pallette and a nice finish.
