Still drinking well but IMO starting to lose some of the trademark Lewis fruit. Some spice, smooth, but otherwise not very complex. Dependable as usual but this bottle had no excitement.

Nice wine with an okay QPR. Opened as PnP. Drinking quite soft with little acidity. While enjoyable now, the back palate hollows out with 45-60 minutes of airtime. Time is not on its side.

(Lewis Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley) Very dark red violet color; lifted, tobacco, red currant nose; rich, tart red currant, tar, tart berry palate; needs 2-3 years; medium-plus finish

Not a great QPR but not bad. Just big juice that smacks you in the mouth and oak.

Very classic Lewis style which I never would have guessed is a 2011. Not terribly complex but rich and smooth dark cab. Drink up.
