Decanted and screen filtered and began tasting immediately. Somewhat hidden nose, but we both exclaimed “strawberry jam”. Nice flavor and wanting more. Cherries, little clean minerals and then a touch of graphite or smoke at twenty seconds. Nice wine and hard to believe at 25$ in 2013. May not last for the intended plate du jour, “pork tenderloin hoagie with sautéed spinach and provolone cheese”, a la Chef Leigh! Cheers!

Dark purple nary a garnet. Subtle dark fruit and spice. Palate is big dark fruit with moderate acid and minimal tannins. Opened 3 hours prior. Try a 2 hour decanting next time.

My second and last bottle. The first was a couple years ago and was disappointing given the 93 score by WS. Felt it needed time and apparently it did. Rich plum, pepper, acid. Balanced and smooth. Needs a little air.

It is getting a lot better now. Fruity, loads of berries, tannins still chunky, but softing, perhaps need a couple more years in cellar.
