This bottle did not show as well as the last. Much more oaky and not as much sweet tropical fruit. Something may have been off here, it was drastically different than the last showing. Possibly my tastes are changing or maybe it's just that it didn't push my buttons like the Walter Hansel Estate chard I had a couple days previous.

Great wine, the MOST butter I've ever had on the entry/nose. I don't think I'm oak adverse at all though some may find it excessive. On the midpalate, it's completely different, much more tropical fruits (kiwi?), a very very exotic wine. I almost feel like downgrading this wine because Martinelli's so hard to deal with but I can't, in good conscience, do that...:-)

Very tasty Chard. Color was yellow with hints of green. Good nose - minerals, fruit, and very clean. Rich, velvety flavors of fruit, honey, and a hint of butterscotch.

A step up from the Woolsey Road. Hints of butterscotch, a bit of lemon zest, but otherwise insipid.
