Decanted for 3-4h, really began to sing after 3h. Gorgeous red bdx, smooth cedary oak, leather, red cherries. Smooth and easy to drink, tonight with grilled elk tenderloin. 92/93

The nose is so attractive, with leather, tobacco, violets and dark fruits. The palate is more subdued with dark fruits and bitter dark chocolate. Powerful, well intergrated tannins. The finish is medium to long.
Delicious to drink now, and I don’t think it will benefit from additional cellar time.
December 30 in megeve, pairing with cheeses from haute savoie. 3h decant. Deep purple color. Beautiful nose, deep red fruit, vanilla, butter, black pepper, truffles, mushroom, wet forest floor. Med acidity, med body, med alcohol, med flavor intensity, dry tannins, med finish. Nice red fruits, green tannins, orange, light pepper, Nespresso, milk chocolate, mint, beautiful minerality. Rather excellent.

Three hour decant. Very deep ruby, brick red color, with a hint of a rusty rim. Fennel, sage, black cherry, craisin, and chocolate. Very dry palate. Full, round tannins on the longish finish.
This is likely past it’s peak for me. Even so, it’s rich and juicy for a not so special vintage.
