  2000 Chateau Hosanna - this Pomerol was uber-classic with plenty of soft plum fruit, tobacco, red berries and a long finish of milk chocolate…maybe not quite at the level of Trotanoy or VCC but in the same sort of classic wheelhouse. 93-94

  Bouquet of ripe berries, wild strawberries, blueberries, currants, mix if exotic spices, some mint, at the start a bit of funk. Palate is incredibly silky, sweet yet light, with spices, tiny bit of chocolate, leading to a long finish, potpourri of spices and ripe berries and more flavors. There is something hard to grasp, making the wine fascinating, entrancing, a magic potion.

  Similar to last time. Oak nose and soft fruit. Pretty classic merlot.

  Clear medium garnet/ruby; clean pronounced nose of leather, dried blackberries, cigar box, mushrooms, moist fall leaves and barnyard; dry; medium plus acidity; medium tannins; medium plus alcohol; medium plus body; pronounced flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of cocoa; very long finish; wow - drinking perfectly now - no reason to wait; this is a stunning wine

  Overall, an incredible wine. I was having sinus issues and my nose wasn't working well, but even through that I could tell that the nose of this was as amazing as my family was saying. Very easy to drink, I wish I had more.
