A drop from the Adelaide Hills, funded by Naked Wines. Sealed under crown seal. Light straw yellow in the glass. The nose was very closed initially, opening a little to show Granny Smith apple and nuts. The palate showed the bead strongly initially, with some more Granny Smith apple, but there was a change in the mid palate to more of a toasted nuts / honey / marzipan flavour – and that change seems a little clunky to me. To finish, some citrusy acidity. Little in the way of lees flavours, so I am not sure if we had any bottle ferment here (methode Champenoise). Not sure this wine knows what it wants to be?
