  • Very (no, the most ever) cloudy wine. Amazing nose of red berries/fruit, funk, cinnamon, cola and christmas spices. Full fruit/spice palate but finishes out-of-whack with sour bitterness (which was not noted in 01/06). Fortunately, this 'flaw' was covered by the accompanying pizza tomato sauce, allowing positive attributes to shine. But later (?) without food, this was .... uggh!

  • Very nice. Aromas of berries, stones and some nice pinot funk. Palate is a standout with the balance, fruit, acidity and some integrated tannins I would expect from a more expensive wine.

  • My last of six and the best. A nose of cranberry, fig, a hint of forest floor and sandalwood. Big smooth mouthfeel. Bright acidity nicely frames the finish. A fabulous value. I hope the 04s are as good.

  • Good nose of fruit, earth and minerals - some might find a bit of pinot noir "funk" -- good, though. Color is still reddish/purple, still obviously young. A nicely made wine in a modern fruit-forward style, but not over extracted, pruney or sweet. Low acidity and tannins, but balanced. Medium body, flavors of raspberrys and spices; all in all a very nice bottle of wine. It took three days to finish the bottle (stored with a nitrogen blanket, stoppered in the refrigerator) and it was just as good the last day. This will probably last another year or two. Nice wine.

  • My last bottle and happily the best of all from an original 6 pack. Sad to see this go as it is one of, if not the best under $25 pinots I have had. Translucent ruby in color. Pretty nose of bright cherry and raspberry. The mid-palate has completely integrated and is full of rich cherry and raspberry. The finish is medium length with some spice added to the mix and bright acidity that adds definition. Great entry level pinot that is drinking at peak. If you still have some of these I would recommend diving in.
