Part of a WA State wine night with my group. All the reds were from 2010 to 2013. This was one of three wines from the Champoux vineyard. It was opened, but not decanted for at least 60 minutes before pouring. This might have been the WOTN. It still tastes youthful. My last bottle may have been flawed, so it may be getting into the hit or miss stage of its development. A great nose, and a long finish. When this cuvee vintage is on, it is a treat.

45 minute decant. Deep ruby red color. Beautiful aromas of dark berries with floral spice and mineral notes. Medium to full bodied palate has blue and black berries, stone fruit, mocha and herbs. Tannins are resolved and a bit of fresh acid makes for a nice long finish.

I'm neutral on this wine. Some in my group thought it was corked, but I didn't smell any off odors. I do think this bottle was fading as the wine was very light bodied. Still one person in my group had it as their favorite. I'm not sure if it was a poor bottle or the vintage is starting to fade. I'll try another one soon.

A bit on the lighter side. Drinking well but seems to be fading. Would drink over next couple years. Lots of green pepper, vegetal notes with some casis. Very Bordeaux esque. Just a bit thin and underwhelming. Drink up.

Either it didn't store well or its past its prime.. cork was very soft and the wine was thin and flabby without being corked. I'm guessing a bad bottle which is a waste of a 3L last night that I've been sitting on for over 9 years.
