Mixed reaction to this bottle. Some enjoyed while others jumped to another bottle. Nose of spice, black pepper, dark fruit. Palate of smoke, clove, dark fruit, smoke, pencil lead. Smooth, nicely balanced.

Wow this bottle was firing. Rich yet tangy fruit on the nose with black pepper, spice rub, violets, some olive brine and dark chocolate. Vibrant acidity frames the palate so nicely, some good tannic structure but smooth around the edges. Pretty red and black currant fruit with complex notes of black tea, herbs, smoky charcoal, cinnamon and clove. Fruit still has lots going on to balance out the savory elements, and the balance and structure are on point. I'd love to revisit this in another three years or so. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault.

The palate is on the lighter side of medium bodied with a perfumed, textured feel. Will only improve with some additional time in the bottle. 80% Syrah, 12% Mourvèdre, 4% Grenache, and 4% Cinsault. Olsen, SJR, and Alder Ridge vineyards. 14.2% alcohol. 393 cases produced
