  Medium(-) ruby-purple, purplish rim, slow moving legs, arranged curtain-like (13.5% abv). Medium(-) developing nose of strawberries, red berries, oak, sous bois, smoke(d meat?), ash. Medium(+) dry, medium(-) tannins, medium(+) alcohol, the latter resulting in a rather hot sensation on the palate. Medium-medium(+) flavours of ripe berries, cherries, spice, bitter cocoa, mineral focus. Medium body with chewy-glycerine-like texture. Medium (+) pleasant warm bitter-sweet finish and lingering mouth-feel. More impression than I bargained. A good wine, especially with food.
