Drank at night of Tuscan wine tasting. This is based on Tuscan concepts, but is Cal. wine. As such, it is a wine of deep color, dark berries and a lingering finish. Similar to a Tignanello, but a couple of notches below. Paired with various Tuscan-type meats and cheeses, bruschettas and crostinis.

Full body, actually huge! This is a monster, however a very elegant one none the less. The black sour cherry comes across as the first fruit there, then plum and curant. Silky tannins caress your palate as vanilla, hazelnut and a hint of sage come out on the flavors. This is probably the silkiest wine I have ever drank, at least one with this body. Amazing!!

Rick's Birthday Dinner (Wink Wine Bar): Whoa. Very big wine. I was told that the wine maker learned under Michel Chapoutier, but I wouldn't have known from drinking this wine. Super-huge fruit and tannin levels and not enough acidity in it for me. I can see how some would absolutely love this, but being the old-world drinker I am, this just wasn't for me.

Cherry, dark fruit, blackberry. Nice and soft. Burgundy. Cherry nose. Delicious. Buccan. July 11, 2020. Super smooth the longer it opened.
