  • Enjoyed watching this evolve over 4 hours. What started out as red fruit based (cherry / raspberry) moved more towards darker fruits (black cherry, boysenberrry) around the third hour. Showed herbs and a little pepper throughout. What really stands out though is the balance, everything is just right when it comes to flavor, acids, tannins, alcohol; just lovely.

  • Red fruit (cherry, cramberry and pomegranate) and quite a bit of herbs and earth. Good with our wild rice and with the grille Atlantic and New Zealand Ora salmon. Drink now or hold

  • Tasty wine. Lovely red fruit (cherry, raspberry, pomegranate), herbs, some tannins and earth, a touch of tea. A good pairing with the grilled salmon (on the outdoor grill) and Donna's famous Persian rice, which brought out the earth and mineral notes. Great buy at $20 on close-out. Panned by Wine Advocate

  • Initially tart red fruit, but better with time. Notes of cherry, cranberry, pomegranate and some herbs and earth. Much better with food: more elegant, more mineral and much less tart!. Good with our grilled salmon (Atlantic and NZ Ora King salmon) and best with Donna's Persian Rice. Would drink better with more bottle age, I think. Good QPR for $20 delivered (vs $45 retail)

  • Twisted and poured. Noticeable oak on the nose tonight--dusty dried leaves are dominant--with a little black cherry and some herbs. On the palate black cherry, hints of orange peel, pepper. Good acids, integrated tannins. Less wowed than previous bottle but considering what I paid, this over delivers.
