Day 1: Excellent place right now. Tar, stone, roasted peppers, brisket, Lavendar, white pepper, dark fruits and chalk. Long and concentrated finish. This is off the charts great! 97 points Day2: Rocks funk, tar stone, dried rose petals, white pepper, roasted meat, dust and green olives. Super complex wine and $95 well spent via auction. 97 points Recommendation: Drink through 2030.

Fourth time tasted since 2021, final bottle. This bottle is dark garnet and still completely opaque. Very Northern Rhône style, with sweet smoky roasted meat and bacon aromas, complex and pronounced; black cherries and plums also in the nose. The flavors match the aromas; full-bodied but extremely round, balanced and smooth, nice acidity, very little tannin, and a very long and lingering aftertaste with just a slightly hot component. The finish keeps going on. The wine put on weight and complexity the second evening, one reason we like to taste many wines over two evenings. Cerise is one of our favorite Cayuse syrahs for its elegance and complexity, though not as big as several others, such as Armada. Perfect now, drink up. Ric

Almost a bit like a Cabernet franc. Dark cherry with green pepper underneath. Finishes earthy.

Starts out a bit muted. Opens up with blueberries, strawberries and currants. Finishes with a bit of meat and leather.
