  • This wine is like the Little Engine that could. It has come a long way in development since my awkward introduction to it in the fall of 2013. Nicely balanced with ripe fruit and thick tannins, this is a linear wine that makes up for its lack of complexity with charm and character. Candied cherry and cola notes on the nose with tangy raspberries, rhubarb, and ripe cherries on the palate. Still good acidity and thick tannins, this should continue to improve through 2020. Drink before 204. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 92.

  • Wine is beginning to lose its punch and zip, but has settled down into a mellow O-noir with a streak of acidity that caries the rest of the flavors nicely. Subtle notes of bing cherries and some lingering minerality. In the good better best world of wine today, this better bottling has held up nicely.

I agree with Neecies on this one - drink up!

  • This keeps improving with more bottle age. Wonderful nose of crushed violets, rhubarb, blackberries, black tea, and incense. The palate is round, medium, tangy, and thick, bringing raspberries, dark cherries, dried herbs, strawberry custard, and dense tannins into a very juicy finish. Feels like this will continue to develop so I'd hold and drink 2018-2022. Tremendous value.

  • Has improved dramatically from almost two years ago, but still very linear with a thin finish. Good musty, earthy nose of wild flowers and herbs. The palate is medium and square, bringing good brambly dark fruit, rhubarb, and fresh strawberries into the tail. Drink now over the next two years.

  • Nice everyday pinot; won't improve from here.
