This is disappointing to have a bad decomposing cork on the bottle when it was S stored in a temperature controlled wine cabinet I have filtered the wine through a paper towel to remove small cork fragments and I am letting breathe hoping it’s salvageable Nose is very floral Sipping it on opening is already approachable and smooth with nice hints of dark fruit and a slight earthy characteristic but suttle After 20 minutes even better I don’t know if cork would have been good would this even be yummier I’m really enjoying this now at 30 minutes in the glass I would buy again if I can trust that I have a good cork lol

Purchased on release and kept in 55-degree cellar since. Tech sheet for this wine states 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot with 33% new oak barrels.
Tasting note after one hour of air. I was expecting this to be much more integrated than it was. Still feels incredibly primary, like many other 2010s. On the nose, I get a good amount of dark plums (a freshly opened jar of Tiptree Damson plum preserve - not jammy per se just that nose upon opening), cassis, some baking spices, and a bit of mintiness (not typical, but that's what I'm getting).
On the palate, medium-plus length, medium-plus acidity, grippy tannins, medium-plus body, dark ripe plums (again, not jammy), blackberries, earthy/mushroomy, black tea, and a good amount of baking spices. Overall, a very good and complex wine. For my palate, however, this needs a good amount of time still.
I would hold off on opening these for at least another couple of years. To me, the wine still needs to integrate. It's very primary, still. I think the drinking window for this is way off. I would personally not revisit this for another five years.

Getrunken an Silvester 20/21. Blindverkostet. Sehr einfacher Bordeaux. Kurz und ohne Volumen. Wenig Trinkspass. Evtl zu alt? Alterunfsnoten waren aber keine vorhanden. Keine Trinkempfehlung.

In prime drinking window now. Tannins fully resolved, smooth Merlot fruit, nice touch of oak, fine acidity, a bright, elegant and easy-drinking wine. Best with food. Good QPR at less than 15€. - 90 points

Decanted for 40 minutes. Aromas of plum, iron, earth and leather. Flavors of blackberry, black cherry, iron and mineral. Ends with a 10-15 second finish with black cherry and charcoal notes. I thought for sure this would show signs of advanced aging but this was fresh and young. No signs of advanced aging.
