This wine was excellent -- much better than the Russian River 2008 PN from La Crema. There was red fruit, cherry, raspberries, tea, earth, minerals. Full-bodied with a long finish. We had this with a tasty pizza with meat and it was a good pairing. Drank young and has time.
I wish I could remember with whom we had this wine.
We paid $23 on close-out. Great QPR for that price. (Wine Advocate says $50 retail). Drink now or you can hold for 1-2+ years -- but why wait.

At dinner in New Braunfels. Found this on wine list at just over retail. A bit richer than the '07 version, with touch of heat along with red fruit, tea leaves, minerals. Nice rich palate, with smooth tannins. Maintains good balance, with elegance and nice acidity on zippy finish. A great under-the-radar producer of Anderson valley appellation wines.

Bolder and spicer than most new world, specifically Cali Pinot Noirs. Possible 2010 which is lighter may be preferable speeding on your palate. But - still a solid, outstanding reliable Pinot.

a real favorite cali pinot, straightforward, elegant structure, nice fruit, good weight, just a bit of lack of depth and complexity or would be outstanding.

Average showing. Earlier in the evening a new zealand pinot was much better at half the price
