  • This pours light ruby in the glass with the faintest hint bricking. The nose is of cranberry, orange oil, peonies, beetroot, airy moist pine grove, menthol cigarette, flowering mixed herbs, and strawberry. The palate enters on pure citrus tinged red fruit with cranberry and strawberry leading, turning to medium plus acid and low tannin. The finish closes very pleasantly replaying the orange oil and strawberry elements. All in all this is very nice stuff, and aging slowly. While not terribly complex the profile is beautiful and quite expressive.

  • Elegant wine with lighter body and still bright fruit profile. Notes of strawberry.

  • short decant and got to say of the bottles I've had of this wine, this is by far the best. Very resolved with integration tannin and acid, good fruit and none of that "beet root" flavor, enough tartness to make very good wine.

  • Cork had a streak about 3/4 the way up, so not sure if this is a completely representative bottle. Color showing some moderate bricking, there's an earthy, late fall leafy note to the nose; good intensity of fruit on the palate, more strawberry than cherry, with some sweetness that might be attributed to the vintage, or possibly a little extra air exposure through the cork, or maybe just the way the wine is at its age. Acidity is a bit moderated, leaving an overall softer, sweeter impression to the wine. Very drinkable, but a little disappointing, knowing where this started.

  • Showed very well. Halfway between Burgundy and California. Subtle red fruits with gentle earth and moss.
