  Deep ruby, almost purple. Notes of smoke, dark and dark red fruit, sweet black plum, cinnamon and christmas spices, dark cherries, minerality, earthy notes, also some animalic notes (fur), some crushed violets. It‘s medium-full bodied, dense and pretty powerful, with medium-tannin that has melted away since my last bottle but still adding some grip. Also some medium+ acidity and excellent length. A really beautiful Grand Cru Burgundy that was absolutely singing tonight. Wow.

  TM Mazoyeres vs Charmes Dinner.
  Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with thin garnet rim. Legs.
  Nose is clean, medium intensity, tertiary minerally stony earth, soft dark earth, dark red plums, dark red cherries. Developing.
  On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), integrated medium+ tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of savoury earth, stony minerality, salty meat bits, dark red plums, dark red cherries. Long big finish.
  Very good quality. Big and ripe. Drink sooner rather than later I think.
