Garnet. Oak nose. Strong red fruit, intense tannins, some sweetness, lack of depth and balance. After a half hour some pluminess and smoothness appears and the tannins mellow a bit. Medium short finish with a bit of heat. Decent daily drinker around $10.

Brought this on a camping trip, and it is surely OK for around a camp fire - but it's probably not a wine I would enjoy at home. The nose was nice and fruity, although it did have a slight alcohol component too. Taste wise, however, it appeared unrefined with a very dry start, an unremarkable middle, and a finish that lingered a bit too long.

Nicely integrated. Earthy cherry nose and a fruit forward style with enough acidity to keep everything in balance. Cherry and licorice on the palate--tannins are moderate. On the young side but drinking nicely. Good value for the $10-15 dollar price range.

Second bottle of night. Fruity with good acidity and light tannins.

Table wine. Just like it says. Light tannins and balanced fruit.
