this was the 4th tasting in the 2010 OR PN set this week ... chehalem reserve, chehalem RR, Shea Estate ... the Broadley was similar to the chehalem resv, and nothing like the Shea estate (same vineyard, same vintage ... ). this seemed to come from younger vines than the estate and had more of the dijon spice

Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium+ acidity and some silky tannins. Very well balanced with tones of red fruits, cherries, fresh picked berries, and some herbal whole cluster notes.
Overall: This is a pretty and slighter larger scaled pinot. It needs some time to fully show itself, but it should be really good when it comes around.

A solid choice in the number three slot in a single blind in a Thanksgiving tasting of 2010 pinots from various winemakers all from the shea vinyard. The lineup included offerings from St. Innocent, Winderlea, Broadley, Shea, Penner-Ash and Autuer's Ophelia. With just a mild touch of pinot funk, which was slighly offputting to some tasters but not all, and a bit richer than the other offerings. Served single blind eliminated the possibilty, but likely would have been placed in the warmer 2009 vintage had that been an option.

On darker side of spectrum for Oregon Pinot. Delightful earth, spice and raspberry nose. Raspberry flavors in smooth presentation. Short finish
