deeply colored, extracted rim. very aromatic in a regal way... lots of that cherry pit thing i find in higher end burgundy... on the palate high acids, fleshy mid palate, very hard and firm tannins, low alcohol. balance of this wine is a bit on the hard side, good length, great intensity very good complexity. lots of positive qualities... lacks the finesse and texture great burgundy has but this completely surprised me... i'd drink now with food as i think the tannins will outlive the rest of the wine.

Thanksgiving Weekend in Willamette; 11/25/2005-11/27/2005 (Willamette Valley OR): Tasting at winery. Youthful, vibrant fruit aromas with modest spice. Bright red fruit on palate, managing to soften the vintage's ripeness to get good balance. Good length.
