Had a flight of Chassagne Montrachet of 15 different wine across different vintages and wine maker. Interesting to note that for a group of 8 people, most couldn’t have guess the wine maker, all rather most got it wrong. The WOTN or favorite are quite similar representing the quality of the wine maker. And price point of bottle vis a vis the quality is inequitable.

Hitting its stride now. Medium golden color. The nose was stunning, lots of citrus, mineral notes. Explosive with lots of crushed rocks and lemon zest. Great backbone with some focus and slight viscous state.

Drinking exceptionally now. Nice balance and good crisp acids with solid rich, riper fruit of the 06 vintage. Really well done C-M.
