I tasted this back before Christmas and was disappointed. In true WO fashion, this wine is richly rewarding a little patience.
Medium ruby red. Really expressive red fruit aromas. Light and lively on the palate with complex rasberry, cranberry fruit flavors. Lingering aftertaste. This will probably continue to improve for the next year or so before reaching a very satisfying plateau. Nicely done!

Last had this a year ago and the extra year in the bottle has really allowed the wine to settle down nicely but I think it could still use a little more time.

Way too soon; angular, a bit bitter on the finish. Has the goods, but even this (their shortest in oak) still needs plenty of time to resolve the tannins and oak...as in another 2+ years.

Santa Cruz Mountain & Santa Clara Valley Tastings: Light in color. Nice cherry nose. Light on the palate, with ripe cherry fruit, adequate acidity and a nice spicy, clove component.

Still rather angular, with some heat on the back end. There is nice light fruit lurking, this should be good down the road.
