  Deep golden orange in color. Big bosomy nose of honeysuckle and candied orange. Light body; medium-firm acidity. Brandy, floral straw, and "dry" honey on the palate. Short-ish finish adds a hint of white pepper. Nice light wine for fish or eastern Mediterranean cuisine. Drink before 2016.

  Have to make a little caveat here, I enjoyed this wine at a picnic in a park, so my observations may have been a little influenced by ambient fragrances (and very likely my mood)! The reason for entering another tasting note is that I have the strong impression this wine has improved since I last tried it a year ago. Somehow the yeasty/sherry notes are softer and the apricot in particular more pronounced. I only have one bottle left, but I'm in no rush to drink it.

  Still delicious after all these years. A wonderful introduction to the obscure end of Georgian wine - not as immediately charming as a mainstream sapervai, but challenging and ultimately rewarding. Salty, rich, reminiscent of greengage cotton candy. Wonderful.
