Decanted about 90 minutes before tasting and run through a venturi 3 times. Needed air. Slightly underripe showing herbal, green notes that didn’t quite go away through the evening. Still a nice old-school Cali Cab with soft texture, integrated tannins. Red and red-black fruited, lightly mineral with hints of graphite. I have had much better bottles of this previously.

can't believe still very drinkable in a half bottle. cork in perfect condition. dry with most of the fruit done but still a very nice glass of wine, very dry. don't recall where i purchased but certainly have it since it was issued. The wine looks light brown colored. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like stoniness and stoniness. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.

A perfect representation of classic Napa cab. Compared to the 01 Pichon Baron by its side (which showed very well), this wine really stole my heart. Tons of graphite, lead, and minerality on the nose. I could live in that nose. On the palate, you're met with more earthy minerality and Bordeaux-like characteristics, but you get that additional lift from the bold red fruit. Tannins nicely resolved, impeccable balance, and a wine that is drinking so well, but can go even longer.
They don't make em like they used to!

Very good, though more tertiary than about the fruit at this point. Double-decanted for sediment. Drunk at the Beefer at the Andes Hotel.
