Second Sunday Group: 2009 Châteauneuf-du-Pape (R&D's): Leftovers of the bottle from the September Saturday group tasting that had been frozen and now thawed. Peach and stone fruit liqueur, pineapple and honey. Honeyed tropical fruit on the palate. Excellent.

4th Saturday group uptown tasting (R&D's): Peach, apricot and honey with good balancing acidity. Lengthy finish, dominated by ripe stone fruit flavors. Always a pleasure to drink one of these wines.

What a beautiful wine. Rich and dense yet superbly balanced and elegant. Complex and deep with layers upon layers of flavour. Just beautiful and with a long life ahead of it. 95+
