  • Spectacular showing at holiday party. WOTN
Decanted for just over 4 hours before first taste.
Strong bouquet on the front and intense powerful fruits of plum and raspberry along with smoked meat and pepper. Long long finish that keeps you coming back for more.

This wine is drinking fantastic now and still has a lot left in it.

  • Dark black, black fruit - coal and cocoa. Warm, but not rendered too hot. Good SQN.

  • Kleur: Diep donkerrood. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 12 + Smaak / Afdronk: 18 + Algemeen / potentieel: 9 = 94/100

Colour: Deep dark red. Aroma / bouquet: SQN Syrah in all its facets, slightly less expressive but very seductive. Sweetish dark fruit (blackberries, berries), plums and dates, cedar wood, mint / menthol. A touch of buttermilk. Taste / Aftertaste: Soft acidity, brilliant filling, sweetish condiment, thick-juicy and filmy mouthfeel, velvety tannins. The somewhat lactic acid thread also provides some extra freshness in the mouth. Great long finish. General / Potential: Beautiful SQN with an even longer future ahead of it. 50 + Color: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 12 + Taste / Aftertaste: 18 + General / potential: 9 = 94/100

  • WIML95

Tasted non blind. Opened and splash decanted 90 minutes before serving. Followed over 24 hours.

Purple color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of potpourri, roasted meat, soapstone, black currants and plums. Flavors of black raspberries, black cherries and plums. Medium acidity, medium to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink now with air or continue to hold. No rush.

  • Fun to taste the SQN 09,10,11 in a flight. Close call and only the Stockholm Syndrome had a point advantage of the others. So balanced to drink now but will improve even further - all three
