5 hour S/O in cellar, drank over 2 days. Concentrated yet very balanced, red fruits, candied cherries, rose petals, forest floor; initial grippy tannins softened an hour after first pour. 45 second velvety finish.

My note from 5 years ago unfortunately still applies. It is seemingly still closed and hardly budged over several hours. It remains a world class wine but my feeling is that it is still holding back its best. Keep at least another 5 years imho, if you still have some

California Wine Weekend; 12/1/2023-12/3/2023 (Mos Eisley Cantina & Waterhouse Restaurant): Patine has the most elegant approach, and I think the cool weather helped it a lot. Blackberry, licorice candies, sliced bell pepper, rose petal, charcuterie and gravely stone notes.
