Pale gold in the glass. Lime and green apple on the nose and the palate intro'd by bracing acidity and flanked by cement. Shellfish, white flesh fish, raw greens, ceviche all appropriate pairings.

I'm on a streak of good wines lately, and this is another one. For me it is heavier than a sauv blanc, but doesn't have as much body as a chard. It paired well with our spinach and mushroom tart, but the wine itself was a little tart on its own. With alcohol below 10% it's a good choice on a week night. It was different and I liked it.

My first foray into the Savoie. Golden beige in color. Intense flinty, guincey nose with a hint of soft petrol. Firm acidity hits on the palate and cuts straight through to the finish. Green apple, lemon, stone, and clean hay are conjured on the tongue. Bracing yet complex. Acidity more than compensates for the low alcohol almost completely hiding any residual sugar. Or perhaps the grapes were picked before fully ripe (must learn more). In any case this is a great spring and summer food wine. Crisp greens, ceviche, sushi, apple celery salad all come to mind. Would also make a great aperitif for a heavier white meat meal. Drink it this summer. They'll make more for next year.
