rich for Chablis, in keeping with vintage. very tasty, though not profound. knocking off a point for being not racy enough for Chablis, to my palate.

That there is nebbiolo of this quality that is (ok, was, in 2011) available for $20 is amazing. Still drinking beautifully. Delicious and easy to drink.

Yes! Finally, has emerged as a really nice barolo. Delicious - drinking beautifully. Give it a little air time, as this bottle needed a few minutes to throw off some aging bottle funk (only 5-10 minutes, though)

To tell you the truth, after removing the wine from the cellar, I stood it upright for 30 minutes, then pop and poured it in a Les Impitoyables # 1 red glass. This glass helps aerate the wine. The #1 is more generally used for newer wines. But, I regularly use it for wine tasting and evaluation. Personally, I'd decant the wine next time, given my thoughts on the 1/10/14 tasting. A couple decants probably would not hurt either. As I mentioned, the wine is just beginning to reach its drinking plateau. I hadn't tasted the wine since Nov 1991, so I did not know what to expect when popping the cork. If the wine has been well stored, it should be most enjoyable. So, enjoy! Yours, Chainthroer aka Bill
