Day 1: Tight, reticent nose but leaks some ripe dark berry fruit and mint. Dense and herbal flavors with black plum, fig, , cherry, brine, black olive, trace oak and vanillin. Finish is rather short in length and complexity but does leave an impression of deep fruit and and game. 90 Day 2: Aromatics have opened substantially. Flavor profile is similar to day 1 with dusty, dark berry notes, black cherry, earth and hints of sweet oak. Body feel is medium. Brief but balanced savory, spiced finish. 91

Very expressive aromas in the glass. The palate is all about balance with ripe but refined flavors of dark berry, sweet raspberry, forest floor, mineral, spiced oak . Finishes long with a beautiful reprise of the rich RRV fruit profile. This is why I buy Dehlinger wine.

From magnum. Day 2. Nose with sweet mashed blackberry, forest, vanilla. Briary and earthy with savory dark berry, black tea, cranberry, mineral, oak. Finishes in balance with medium length showing just a trace of sharp tannin. Well done
