A hard wine to classify at a young age. Plenty of upside based on the acid, tannin, and texture profile. Currently ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle so far. It smells like dust, forest floor, black fruit and clove/baking spices. The body is medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has high acidity. Over delivers for $120 Grand Cru burgundy

No formal tasting note. Tasted side-by-side with a 2011 Jean-Marc Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chaumes at Atlas in Atlanta. Both were quite good (though young) great acidity and mouthfeel. I'd give a slight edge to the Champlots.

4/5/2013 8:22:00 AM - Looks like it is in perfect condition - my wife and I are excited to try it one of these days. Thanks for the help and happy drinking to you and yours!
4/5/2013 4:00:00 AM - Interesting. That IS a bottle that was once in my cellar. I'm not familiar with Last Bottle, so the only way I can think that it got there is through BP Wine in St. Helena. A few years ago, I sold about 2,000 bottles of wine to BP...I had a lot of wine that was in prime drinking condition that I was not getting around to drink. Not sure if it went from BP straight to Last Bottle or made a stop or stops in between. Hope you enjoy it!
4/4/2013 10:23:00 PM - Hello,
I recently purchased a 2003 Selene cabernet sauvignon from www.lastbottlewines.com and it looks like it might have been something that was once in your cellar. It came with a CT label that I took a picture of here: http://s23.postimg.org/caum3n1h7/photo.jpg
Any chance this is yours? If so, I would love to hear how it ended up with Last Bottle just because I'm fascinated with the "story" behind my wines. Thanks!

Pale yellow color. Lemons and butterscotch on the nose. Very rich and full mouthfeel - classic Ritchie Chardonnay. Big. But very good!
