At first, I wasn't sure what to make of it, a normal greenish gold, with the sea air brininess common to this grape in this location. But so much more fruit richness with almost honeycrisp over normal granny smith in flavor. The mid-palate had more body than I'm used to, but the acidity was still just as racy so it finished really clean. Great with Cioppino and the extra richness serendipitously matched the sauce better than I expected. I kept some back for later in the evening sipping and the fruit had retreated some and the minerality and brininess was dominant and my understanding of the Albarińo world order was restored.

I don't think I can improve on the two most recent reviews. This is one of the most delicious Chablis I have ever enjoyed. It had buttery richness of the ""-Montrachet wines and the crisp citrus and briny shell bed from it's region all in one. All with some sweet apple elements in the middle. I bought this on release back when it was merely expensive - for Chablis, but when I drink my last few bottles, that'll be it given what they go for now. Obviously wonderful and I'm glad I held it until now, but I'd guess 5-10 more years in it.

I got this on auction since it is a domain wine and a good buy. While not the intensity and depth of fruit of the Simon Bize, it had good mouthfeel with blackberries and some earthiness. Completely resolved, it is a drink now vintage.
