Blend: 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot from the estate-owned Backus Vineyard in Oakville.

Grapes were picked at an average 24.5 degrees Brix and fermented in stainless stell tanks after a cold soak of 5 days. The wine was aged 24 months in 100% new French oak barrels. The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon from Backus Vineyard shows classic Oakville graphite, earth and dark fruit characteristics with a bold tannin structure. Beautiful, creamy texture and minerality showcase the black cherry, spicy clove, tobacco, nutmeg and floral notes that linger throughout the rich finish.
