Sunday, February 18, 2024 - Medium ruby appearance. Medium + intensity nose of cassis, dark plum, blackcurrant leaf, tobacco, touch of mint. Some emerging tertiary aromas of leather, pencil lead. Very nice silky mouthfeel on the palate. Still a little tight. Full bodied. Medium + flavour intensity. Medium + acid. High, ripe, dusty tannin that as yet is not close to being fully resolved. Medium + finish that's just lacking some complexity at the moment. I'll drink another bottle in the short term as a little undecided on the expected evolution of this.
