Wednesday, July 24, 2019 - With the Tour de France TV helicopters showing great shots of the Dentelles de Montmirail and the new vineyards carved out of the high hillsides we had to pop some Gigondas for the evening Tour viewing session. Bottle #1 hopelessly oxidized, bottle #2 was in fine shape. Tannins still a touch off but the formerly obvious oak has largely resolved. Won't rush to finish the remaining bottles but this is probably at its peak.
