Saturday, April 23, 2016 - Amazing for a 14 yr. old wine (albeit well stored) w/no edge bricking, deep crimson/purple color and an expressive nose of berries and forest floor after a rain. Lush mid palate, good balance of fruit, refined tannins and well integrated oak, segueing into a fine and expressive finish. One person complained about the alcohol level 14.4%. Great on its own and went well with a rich beef stew.
