Wednesday, December 10, 2014 - Grassy nose. Grapefruit and citrus on the palate. A bit past prime given the flavor profile that's generally better young. Unusual for CA SauvB; more NZ. Worked wonderfully with chicken rolled up with gruyere and chanterelles in a mushroom sauce with wild rice. The wine complemented the saffron in the sauce. Very solid.
